In the homely Wirtschaft, refined dishes are lovingly and carefully prepared for you. Cooking is done only with regional and seasonal ingredients with preference from the region. Down-to-earth dishes are combined with surprising elements, preferably from French cuisine, to create exquisite culinary delights. The legendary fish specialties experience a new edition in the restaurant Grafenort. Let yourself be inspired by the seasonal specialties, which are smoked in the smoker itself.
The vines of the Engelberg monastery grow in a prime location in Wingreis/Engelberg BE (municipality of Twann). Ambitiously and with great attention to excellent quality, the monastery winemaker Beat Burkhardt cultivates the monastery plots. Terroir wines are produced from grapes that are native to Lake Biel.

Every region has its own charm. The Engelberg Valley has a variety of stories, traditions and, above all, culinary offerings. Host Thomas Matter and his team at Wirtschaft Grafenort take this into account. The food refined in the kitchen comes from the region and reaches the storerooms of the Wirtschaft Grafenort by the shortest routes. The animals are raised on one of the surrounding farms in Grafenort and the fish come from the nearby mountain lake. Since people still know each other here in the Engelberg Valley, the host knows very well what is served on the plate. For the guests this is a true experience with moments of pleasure.
