Arrival by car

The Hotel St. Josefshaus is a 25-minute drive from the A2 motorway, exit Stans-Süd/Engelberg. Follow the main road to Engelberg. Immediately before the monastery, turn left twice and after the community centre and valley museum, you will see the sign for St. Josefshaus on the right-hand side of the road.
A limited number of outdoor parking spaces are available for CHF 5.00 per night, and garage parking spaces are available for CHF 10.00 per night.

Arrival by public transportation

The Zentralbahn railway runs hourly and directly from Lucerne to Engelberg. Click here for the SBB timetable. From the railway station, it takes around 10 minutes to reach the Hotel St. Josefshaus in the direction of the monastery. Walk along Dorfstrasse to the valley museum, and you are just a few metres away from the Hotel St. Josefshaus. You can book taxis directly with Taxi Hess or Titlis-Taxi.
